2020 American Cancer Society Capital Invitational- Event Update
The global coronavirus pandemic has posed a serious challenge to the American Cancer Society’s ability to provide cancer patients and their caregivers support during an unprecedented time. The American Cancer Society is addressing the needs of cancer patients during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are researching ways to understand its continued impact in the future.
We have rescheduled the 2020 16th Annual American Cancer Society Capital Invitational to Monday October 26, 2020 at Granite Bay Golf Club. As state and local guidelines are updated, we will make any necessary changes as needed.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the American Cancer Society’s ability to raise funds that support critical services for cancer patients – putting our mission in jeopardy. Your tax-deductible donation will help us continue the fight against cancer. Please donate today.
Welcome to the annual American Cancer Society Sacramento Capital Invitational. We are excited to celebrate the 16th Annual Capital Invitational and raise another $3M for the fight against cancer. We cordially invite you to participate in this exciting event and encourage you to register early. Not only will you have fun and enjoy the health benefits from an exciting round of golf, but you’ll also support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives as we continue to fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide free information and critical services for people with cancer who need them, and help people reduce their risk for cancer or find it early when it’s most treatable.
For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has worked tirelessly to save lives from every cancer, in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 25 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2016. That means that we helped avoid about 2.1 million cancer deaths over the past two decades, moving us closer to a world free from this devastating disease. What better reason is there to “tee” it up?
Thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to seeing you on the course and sincerely appreciate your efforts to support our lifesaving mission.
For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s. Join us to help finish the fight.
