On Saturday September 12, 2020 the American Cancer Society’s Sacramento Board of Ambassadors
are hosting a night to Hope @Home. In homes from your neighborhood to ours, this will be an evening
that we will be united in hope. Hope for a world without cancer. Hope at home. Today we ask you to
join us as a Hope @Home Host.
Our mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. The
American Cancer Society is the only organization fighting cancer on every front. Dollars raised by
Hope @Home attendees across the country help the American Cancer Society attack all cancers in
countless ways – funding and conducting breakthrough research, providing free rides to chemo, places
to stay near hospitals, a live 24/7 helpline, and so much more.
We are proud to have helped more than 24,000 investigators make important advances in prevention,
early detection, treatment, and care for those with cancer. The American Cancer Society is currently
funding 95 grants in California totaling more than $50 million.
We look forward to celebrating, live, with you. September 12, 2020 everyone will have the chance to
come together as a community, supporting cancer patients in this great time of need. Under the best of
circumstances, a cancer diagnosis can be frightening and devastating. Now, as the COVID-19 crisis
grows larger every day, cancer patients, many who already have compromised immune systems, are
more vulnerable than ever. Those affected by cancer are counting on us to fight this disease no matter
what the circumstances. It is for this reason, that we are committed to continuing our mission by
holding a night of Hope @Home and continuing to raise funds for research and other mission priorities
for the people who need it the most: our patients, caregivers, and their families. We’re asking for those
who support our mission to continue to do so despite recent events.
Your support makes an incredible difference and means the world to us. Thank you for all you’re doing
to help save lives from cancer, every day, and have a fantastic evening!

For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
