2022 Executive Council
At the American Cancer Society, we’re on a mission to free the world from cancer. And we won’t stop until we do. Will you join us? Our volunteers have made us an international leader in research, a 24-7 source of expert information for newly diagnosed patients and their caregivers, and we provide needed patient support programs, free of charge. No one does more to help.
That is why Sacramento business and civic leaders commit their time and support to our mission. We want you to be among them, as member of the elite Sacramento Executive Council for Distinguished Events. This year we are excited to announce the 14th Annual Hope Gala will be hosted on Saturday September 10, 2022 and the 18th Annual Golf Classic will be hosted Monday September 12, 2022.
Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer! We extend an invitation for you to be part of our distinguished leadership team through participating on our Executive Council.
When you support the American Cancer Society, you join millions of others who are committed to achieving our vision of a world free from the pain and suffering of cancer. The following will provide you with more details about our strategy and plans. Thank you for your consideration of this rewarding opportunity.
JOINING OUR COUNCIL
As an Executive Council member, you will enjoy a distinctive and rewarding position. With a minimum amount of time, you will make a maximum impact. We ask that you:

- Provide the American Cancer Society with introductions to some of your business partners, colleagues and/or friends who may be interested in supporting our mission through our fundraising and other special events.
- Support the Golf Classic and or Hope Gala with a pledge to secure a total of $6,000 in sponsorship monies from you, your company, or through your business contacts, and/or through the procurement of auction/raffle items or donations of in-kind products or services benefitting the tournament.
- Attend monthly planning meetings to participate in making key decisions about the events.
- Offer the opportunity to fellow company employees, friends, and family to serve on our Logistics committee and/or volunteer at this years events.
