Guest Of Honor- Rhys Hoskins

Philadelphia Phillies

Rhys Hoskins is an American professional baseball first baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball. Hoskins is a Sacramento native, where he attended Jesuit High School and played college baseball for the Sacramento State Hornets. He was drafted by the Phillies in the fifth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. Hoskins made his MLB debut in 2017.

Rhys and his wife, Jayme, currently reside in Philadelphia, but travel back often to Sacramento to visit family. His beloved mother, Cathy Reynolds, died of breast cancer in 2009 when he was a sophomore in high school, after battling the disease for 14 years. Rhys is excited to be a part of the 17th Annual Capital Invitational in honor of his mother.
